Brian is a Chartered Civil Engineer with nearly forty years rail management experience and a proven track record of problem solving at the strategic and tactical level within the rail industry. Brian set up PartnerSkills in March 2007 to enable clients to gain success. This is achieved by complimenting the existing skill base with his extensive knowledge, experience and contacts from the industry. Brian has a considerable multi-disciplinary project background having led the development and delivery of significant enhancement and renewal schemes both as client representative and project manager. These include major re-signalling schemes, line speed increases, electrification, stock clearance, new stations and depots. Brian has substantial asset management experience leading track maintenance teams and presenting multi-discipline renewal and enhancement strategies to Executive groups for support and funding and has led clients efficiently through the industry processes, providing project reality checks and value analysis studies of options.
Brian is member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and also a member of Independent Rail Consultancy Group (IRCG).

Then following privatisation he worked for Railtrack and Network Rail before setting up his own successful rail consultancy, PartnerSkills.
