David Brice spent his main career with British Rail in Operations Management covering all managerial levels; devoted initially to 'ground-level' management, then majoring on up-dating the railfreight service to match changed market demand in respect of equipment and train transits - development of intermodal operations being a speciality. Since 1993 David has pursued a career in international rail consultancy, in the UK, Eastern Europe and the Middle and Far East, and has worked on a wide range of projects, gaining experience of rail operations under widely differing geographical and political conditions. Expert advice is offered in the fields of track and terminal design, equipment, train planning, transit and cost optimisation. David has a BA in Arts / Economics, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Member of the Rail Freight Group and member of Independent Rail Consultancy Group (IRCG).

David Brice has experience of working overseas in countries such as Afghanistan, Eastern Europe, Iran, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, South Africa and West Africa, as well as many years working with British Rail in the United Kingdom.
David signature projects include a study of cross-border operations (1996-2002) in Russia, national rail transport strategy in Iran, value engineering study of new rail system in South Africa, national integrated transport study in Ghana and design leader for new rail system Afghanistan.
