Peter is an experienced senior rail executive with over 40 years in the industry, and has worked for most of the past 15 years as an independent consultant, providing strategic advice to and development direction for most of the major projects currently / recently under development in Great Britain. He has been personally accountable for sponsorship and development of individual projects with a value of up to £200m. Peter's broad experience, including operations and line management, has enabled him to add considerable value to the decision-making process. He has also provided advice to local government and private sector companies on strategies for rail and light rail development, and has been responsible for successful stakeholder management at director level. Recent assignments have included Project Sponsor for the Line Speed Enhancement Programme on West Coast Route, and Senior Project Manager for the development of a programme of depot and stabling facilities to accommodate the next generation of Thameslink rolling stock.

Peter has experience of working with British Rail in the United Kingdom as well as running his own rail consultancy. Peter is also a member of Independent Rail Consultancy Group (IRCG) as well as a member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport.
