Rob Gibson is an experienced project finance advisor and corporate finance manager, specialising in financial advisory to the rail sector. Rob has significant expereince advising the passenger transport sector on rail (heavy and light) and bus franchise concession bids in the UK and in Europe. He also has significant experience of valuing pricing and financial structuring of M&A transactions in the passenger transport sector. Rob's key skills and experience include financial structuring of project finance, PFI/PPP, transport finance and M&A transactions (including equity and senior facilities), credit risk appraisal of financial proposals for syndicated lending, developing and auditing of complex cash flow and project finance models in Microsoft Excel and VBA as well as development of PC transaction applications using database software (Microsoft Access). Other key skills include contract negotiation, anaylsis and advice, commercial advisory on project finance, PFI/PPP, and M&A transactions to financial close, post contract award mobilisation management of finance functions including contract management, fund management, budgeting and forecast preparation, valuation of companies for M&A transactions; equity valuation of project finance investments. Rob has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in accountancy and a MBA (Information Management) and he is a qualified chartered accountant. He speaks and understands basic German.
